First Week @ New oFFice

First Week @ New oFFice:

1) I feel awful and bored

2) Lotsa things that need to be reviewed and learn (Basically starting with 0)

3) Guess what, I'm the youngest in the department, and hell lotsa old ladies n gents, ranging from 45-58, damn, I feel so damn frustrated. There is no one close to my age. Critical hit of LONELY.

4) Tons of workload per week, as stated in the weekly plan. I'm wondering if I can catch up with everything. Even the non-new staff complaints on the overburden workloads and the impact of burnout to the company. So yeah, so much for me in the future to come.

5) Nice office room and yeah hate the fact that I have to 15 mins from KLCC to reach the office. Imagine walking to and fro everyday. Hell yeah, I need to spend 30mins just to walk to the place (Excluding the fact that I walk to KLCC again during the lunch hour, total add up will be around 1hr per day...zzzz)

So that's basically sum up my first week at office. More of the negatives than the positives. I know...I know...so much things to complaints than being grateful. But the truth is, that's the reality. I'm not being ungrateful for the job given, it's just that I feel like sharing my hellish first week and to tell the world right now, good pay comes with sacrifices. Good money doesn't come with easy way out life.*sigh

Not so cool after all even though the trailer looks good. The acting was good but the story plot is just too slow and I hate Olivia Wilde in this. She is nothing more than Jake's stalker and in the end, it turned that she was the whore that Jake used to have an affair with and surprisingly as well, she is an alien as well.

Can you imagined, u supposed to be death and cremated, and then taraaa...you're back alive because she revealed herself as coming from the outer space and not a human. How ridiculous can it be? I was hoping for something better actually.

Dear Taxi Drivers,

Do take note that the road is not meant for you. But for everyone of us.

Do understand, if you want to rush and arrived at your destination on time,

so do us. But we don't go slam and cut the line of other cars as we please.

Because we have rule that we abide to follow. It's not fair, if you got to cut

the queue all the time and we don't cuz we drive a nice car, and you're just

driving your cab.

Imagine that you've a brand-new car, and someone about to knock down your car

because they said 'I need to rush'. Well, it doesn't do any good, trust me.

Because I'll straightly said, 'Dude, I can say the same thing as you did. What difference

does it made?"

It's quite annoying everytime I found that the honking always goes to to the taxi

drivers because of their utter rudeness on the road. I just can't tolerate it.

Be nice gentleman. Do not be selfish just because you're counting on the money

you need to make every time you're on the road.

Good news: I got to move on with a new job

Bad news: The hard feeling that I know that I will walk away leaving all my buddies in the office right now

It's so hard right now. I dunno if I should be feeling sad or happy. It's a mixture of both. But I do hope that the friendship we built on will last forever. I'm gonna miss everyone of u. It'd been a good year in the past. Hoping the best for everyone.

Sometimes, not all girls are good when it comes to expressing their feeling especially me, I'm not good at shoving directly to my partner's face telling him on how much I'm missing him those days around and I can't bring myself to contain my feeling at this time.

So what I usually do is, I write a poem that supposed to carry all the hidden meaning that ready to be decode by the person I'm referring this to...

I'll definitely choose a house. Cuz once you have a house, there's so much things u can go about it. Such as as these (pic below).

Those are the pics that I'd been collecting so far for me to makeover a house once I have one. So now, it's all out of my grasp (dreammmyy eyes, insyaAllah, I will work for it). But in order to have a good one, I'll need few designs and views of so called my future house.

HP and the Deathly Hallow Pt 2 (The End of Epic)

The End of the Magical Fantasy Era. The good year of Harry Potter and the Lord of the Rings.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 surely ends the era for good. With good ending and composure of story. It was well portrayed as another epic end for Harry Potter saga this year. Even though I was hoping for an epic war between the Death Eaters and Harry's team, lolz, still it was far behind the epic war of Lord of the Rings. Overall, I guess the rating was ok.

My personal fave scenes were definitely will be:

1) Gringotts break-outs.

2) Severus x Lily romantic scene. I was almost swelling up with tears. Damn, poor Severus. I never imagined that scene will be the most sad scene in the whole movie. Cuz I remember reading the book, and I wasn't paying particular attention to that part.

I still remember that I went all craze with Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings when I was 12, if I recalled that correctly. I still have all the collectibles and memorabilia of both movies. The newspapers/magazines cuts, posters, keychains, stickers, autograph by Daniel Radcliffe, and extra-large poster of Legolas that is still up in my room.

Well, it's really worth to watch the movie. I mean for the last time on the silver screen. I do hope movies of this genre will be again take flight on the silver screen. Can't wait for the Hobbits to be out this 2012. Hopefully, it would bring back the mood of LoTR, cuz they're keeping on with the same actors/actresses for the movies.Kudos Peter Jackson.

Just wanna say thanks to everyone involved for making the camp enjoyable (plus minor the glitch when it comes to the Penang meeting and the presentation...deymmm)

But the rest are F.U.N.

I don't like to take pix of myself but somehow I do realized that Langkawi is indeed a breath-taking place in Malaysia (especially when I went for the mangrove tour, which I glad I did). Absolute nature, away from the concrete jungle and noise. Just a pure relaxing area.

p/s: Those limestone formation in Langkawi, the mangrove and the environment somehow made me miss the real life of geology, the nature guy. Not those fake/modernized geologist (such as Petroleum/Mining Geologist, which work to exploit the nature instead of discovering and protecting the nature) but we do work for the money that the black gold offered though...lolz. I LIKE THE OLD-SKOOL GEO GUY, such as sedimentologist, structural geologist or environmental geologist where they are more into research and understanding the concept of the world. REALLY3000X MISS THE GOOD GEO DAYS.

When I read an article regarding this newborn talented star, pianist Liu Wei from Chinese talent show, I'm moved by the BIGGGG talent he has regardless his disabilities. While browsing through the videos, it somehow made me think how grateful I am to be born as a normal being without having to live through with disabilities.

But even he is fated with those disabilities, he managed to pull a stunt that even which I think a normal person find it difficult to do, which is to play a piano....amazing isn't it? Mariage D' amour by Richard Clayderman, is the song that moved many hearts. It's amazing how he play it so well with his toenails, which leaves me so dumbfounded and I was like...woah, even i would struggle to do that dude.

How art thou gonna succeed if your mind still rotten?

Courtesy, manners, virtue and debonair is something that we don't learn in school. But something that we nurtured since we were kids by observing the good examples set in front of us. It doesn't take a super brain to figure out how to be courteous with others, but it only required bit of common sense and observation. From there, we learnt. Learn to be a better person.

I ain't saying that I'm perfect myself, or close to goddess alike. But I do learn from time to time on how to respect others and being courteous when in the public. These problems are not only seen in the youngsters as well as the adult. It is something that we call self awareness.

For example, nobody gonna tell you that you shouldn't cut a queue, shouldn't push others when you're about to board the train/bus/flight, shouldn't honking and cursing while driving, or even use a vulgar language in the public. Because all of that reflects how much you're being aware of your attitude. Sometimes people knows that whatever they're doing above are indeed misleading, but still, ignorance is bliss.

If indeed we want to be succeed in the eyes of the world, do bear in mind, be success first in the eye of our nation.

It’s bad enough that women get filler injections to prop up saggy parts, now a mother has admitted she Botoxed her young daughter for future stardom.

I recently read about a woman who injected her seven-year-old daughter’s forehead with Botox, and augmented her young lips with fillers. Not satisfied with her child’s smooth brow and pouty lips, she also had her eyebrows tattooed.

When asked why she had submitted her daughter to the painful and potentially dangerous beauty regimen, she declared that it was to help the girl win beauty pageants and be better prepared for stardom.

“To be a superstar you have to be different and highly styled,” she said. “That is why I am doing this. She is my child and this is my decision – it will help shape her for the rest of her life.”

Shape her into what? Some sort of narcissistic, self-absorbed creature with a distorted self-image?

Children’s beauty pageants give young girls the message that it’s alright to value themselves for superficial attributes, that their physical appearance is all-important. Such events can only be described as exploitative, with young girls often encouraged to adopt sexualised stances and gestures that they don’t understand.

The first mini beauty pageant I witnessed first-hand was in a shopping mall in Penang. Before the contest began, a girl of about five was being coached by her pushy mother “backstage” in full view of curious passersby.

At an age when most girls are at home watching cartoons and eating ice cream, she was practising her smile, tilting her head to one side and fluttering her false eyelashes. There was something grotesquely carnival-like about her over-the-top makeup and midriff-baring outfit.

The emcee for the event, a bloated, sweaty man of about 60, interviewed each of the contestants for a few minutes, after they had sashayed onto the make-shift stage and twirled in front of the spectators.

“Wah! So sexy-lah!” he announced when the five-year-old came on and did an impromptu Hawaiian dance.

The girl smiled, her mother beamed and I felt like throwing up all over the red carpet. My flesh crawled at the thought of a mature man finding a five-year-old girl sexy.

But I digress.

Back in the other La La Land, the one inhabited by the Botox mum and the daughter who aspires to have a trout pout, the hapless mother admitted that she administered the Botox and filler injections herself.

It seems she went online and bought a starter Botox kit, and then read up on the Internet about the correct way to inject the stuff. Like how scary is that?

Whatever next? A DIY open heart surgery starter kit?

You would think that something as potentially dangerous as Botox would have to be injected by a qualified physician, but Botox Mum disagrees.

“I had done a 12-week beautician’s course four years ago so that knowledge helped,” she announced.

Some years ago, I took a calligraphy class for a few months. But if you were to ask me now to write something elegant and flowing, I wouldn’t be able to do it. The same applies to the short courses I took to learn how to create beautiful flowers from bread dough (the cockroaches ate them), tap dance and stand on my head to give my kidneys a rest.

I’ve even seen first-hand the scary effects of Botox administered by someone inexperienced. An acquaintance of mine once had a beautician (a woman barely qualified to give facials and Brazilian waxes, never mind plunge a long needle into someone’s face) inject her forehead and lips with the stuff.

The beautician must have been a little overzealous because her client ended up with a droopy eyelid that made her look half asleep. She had to wear sunglasses to work for several weeks until the effects of the Botox began to wear off.

It was the same thing with her lips. When she tried to drink water, her incapacitated muscles couldn’t hold it in and the fluid immediately flowed out of the side of her mouth, making her look like someone with a huge drool problem.

Anyone who injects their children with poison and leaves them open to such side-effects isn’t fit to be a parent. Indeed, Botox Mum’s daughter is now in protective care, while the case is being investigated.

Also, many cute kids don’t grow up to be attractive adults. Just look at Hollywood and you’ll see thousands of former child stars and wannabes who can’t come to terms with the fact that they’re just not that good-looking anymore.

If only some parents would stop focusing so much on their children’s physical attributes, we’d have a lot more healthier adults on this planet.

Fitrah manusia menyukai kecantikan dan inginkan kecantikan. Cantik itu adalah anugerah. Namun, percaya atau tidak, cantik itu juga sebenarnya merupakan satu ujian. Tetapi perlu diingat bahawa cantik itu adalah amat subjektif.
Barangkali ada yang memiliki wajah cerah dan licin tetapi tidak nampak seri, barangkali ada pula yang gelap dan biasa sahaja tetapi begitu manis dipandang.
Cahaya iman mungkin?
Berbalik kepada tajuk. Cantik adalah ujian. Mengapa begitu?
Cantik sebagai anugerah
1. Meningkatkan rasa syukur
2. Keyakinan diri tinggi
3. Sedap mata memandang
4. Maintanance rendah (sepatutnya)
5. Apabila dikecapi apabila sebelumnya biasa-biasa
Si cantik yang mempunyai wajah licin bersih, pastinya akan bersyukur kerana tidak perlu berat kepala memikirkan bagaimana untuk mengatasi masalah kulit sekaligus mengurangkan kos perawatan muka dan sebagainya. Begitu juga akan membolehkan si cantik yakin melangkah.
Dan paling boleh dianggap sebagai anugerah sekiranya mereka yang boleh dianggap biasa sahaja sebelum ini, kini dianugerahkan dengan rupa paras menarik. Pasti ramai yang mula tertarik.
Cantik sebagai ujian
1. Dijadikan bahan komersial
2. Disayangi hanya kerana rupa
3. Menimbulkan riak dalam hati
4. Apabila nikmat cantik ditarik sekelip mata
Si cantik biasanya menjadi pilihan untuk melariskan pelbagai produk di pasaran. Tidak kira bagi pengiklanan produk kecantikan, produk kesihatan hatta produk deodorant lelaki pun menggunakan si cantik sebagai pelaris, tidak semena-mena sahaja deodorant itu perlu diedarkan oleh si cantik sebelum sampai ke tangan si lelaki pemakainya.
Pakaian? Peluk cium usah kira, penambah saham dosa. Oh, tiada kerja!
Si cantik juga seringkali menjadi mangsa jerat cinta si jejaka yang mementingkan rupasemata-mata. Apabila cantik itu hilang, maka hilanglah cinta Sang Pencinta juga. Bukankah itu juga satu ujian? Lebih baiklah mereka yang sederhana paras rupa, yang diyakini disayangi bukan kerana rupa semata-mata.
Riak pula? Seringkali wujud rasa iri hati di kalangan sesetengah individu yang berasa kurang senang dengan kecantikan yang dimiliki orang lain, dan seringkali juga wujud segelintir si cantik rupa yang memandang rendah pada yang lain hanya kerana mereka memiliki aset wajah menarik.
Apa pun, ujian terbesar ialah apabila kecantikan itu ditarik dan hilang sekelip mata. Hilanglah keyakinan diri, hilanglah semangat, dan tidak mustahil hilanglah sebahagian besar mereka yang seringkali menjadi pendamping selama ini.
Kesimpulannya, bersyukurlah dengan apa yang ada kerana semuanya tidak kekal selamanya.

I was in the bus when I happened to listen to ERA fm, last morning (the morning where I usually go to the office).

I never heard of the May I help you? session @ ERA. I think that was the first time, and I seriously disgust the program

BIG WHY?

1) It is a total disgrace for the Malays. THe program is actually portrays how poor is the Malay conversing in English. I see that it isn't close to funny by making all this kind of lame jokes. What's the point? You put your own race to shame.

2) About the DJ, whoever his name is. You're not even close to good. So what's the point of making fun of others' English. Even the perfect one is not making fun of others. We're flawed and in order to cover the flaw, we keep learning everyday. p/s: You're just a DJ, so what so good about it? So don't make fun of others if you don't want people to look down on ya.

3) The radio station is not only being listen by Malays FYI. It is being listen by the whole Malaysians. By the whole Malaysians, I mean it includes Chinese, Indian and etc. For ex: in the bus, restaurant etc.

4) If you plan to improve the Malays' English, do it in other proper way. I bet there are other ways where we could help to improve the nation English. Not by airing the flaws to the public.

I really hope, someone out there could voice out the same opinion that I have to ERA. I do hope they banned such act in order to preserve the Malays dignity. I'm writing this on behalf of the Malays, and the Malays pride. No offense intended on this post.
